Heir-Loom is the name of the exhibition coming up at Sarah Walters Ceramics Gallery. It will open on Saturday 6th August to coincide with Woman’s Day/Month, and will run for three weeks.
“We have an exciting line up of woman makers for the show, working around the concept of “Heirloom” and also the “Loom” , says Sarah Walters. “We have Leila from Crosspolynations who will be showing her hand dyed and woven textiles. We then have ceramicists Lisa Ringwood, Louise Gelderblom, Bianca Bernstein and myself. Finally we will be showing the incredible woven copper bowls by Threads for Africa.”

Sarah lives and works in the heart of Newlands Village in Cape Town. You can visit her in her studio and Gallery, which is open to the public.
The Ceramics Gallery is a little boutique showroom that mostly features Sarah’s work, and that of her father David Walters. Regular exhibitions feature the work of other ceramic artists.
From beautiful functional domestic ware, to whimsical decorative ceramics, the gallery has a wide range of wheel thrown, handmade, studio ceramics available.
