Fanuel Moiane has spent the past thirteen years mastering the ancient language of woodblock carving and printmaking. Entirely self-taught, his journey into art began under the guidance of his late brother, Isaac Sithole, whose influence continues to echo through every mark and texture.
Following the loss of both his brother and later his mother, Fanuel turned inward. Seeking meaning and balance, he found solace in nature and, in particular, in the world beneath the water’s surface. Fish became his chosen symbol – embodying rebirth, transformation, growth and the quiet resilience required to navigate life’s currents.
