Art: The Supermarket

The Muti Gallery’s annual art exhibition refuses the usual conceptual and thematic constraints to present  art work that is consumable and challenging.

This year, the show features Cape Town-based artists only. Highlights include Monique Pelser’s video installation and prints, MJ Lourens’s eerily transient contemporary suburban landscapes, Guto Bussab’s symbolic photographic portraits, illustrator Ree Treweek’s pop-surrealistic sculptures influenced by Eastern and African mythology, and Louis Nel’s timeless painted landscapes.
