Iziko Museums will host Prof. Thuli Madonsela and Women Leaders for a 70th Women’s Day Anniversary Dialogue – an extraordinary gathering of visionaries, change-makers, and thought leaders at the Long Table Conversation on Saturday, 8 August 2026.

As we commemorate the 70th anniversary of the courageous 20,000 women who marched to the Union Buildings, we honour their legacy by igniting a passionate, inter-generational dialogue focused on economic empowerment, leadership, and unity. This gathering promises a poignant connection between the monumental achievements of 1956 and today’s ongoing struggle for economic justice and women’s resilience.
The conversation will be guided by host and MC Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo, with Prof. Thuli Madonsela leading a panel of trailblazers, including prominent media personalities and leaders Martelize Brink, Leigh-Anne Williams, and Babalwa Mbuku.
