Book Club Guest Author is Kirsten Deane

June is Youth Month and Woman Zone introduces some young blood into the Book Club!  Young writers from the English Alive programme will join Woman Zone to share and talk about what and why they are writing.

This month’s guest author is Kirsten Deane talking about her poetry collection DISABLED, BUT.

Kirsten Deane,With a Masters in Creative Writing from UWC, Kirsten Deane is lead editor of ‘English Alive’, the well-respected publication for high school students, and has been published in journals nationally and internationally. She’ll be talking about her debut poetry collection ‘Disabled, But’.

Kirsten is also a passionate volunteer, a disability awareness activist and gives creative writing workshops at children’s homes.
