The South African Jewish Museum invites you to attend a special lecture, Looking into Kibel: Art & the Inner Life, presented by art historian Anna Tietze, Honorary Research Associate at the Michaelis School of Fine Art.
Drawing on her longstanding research into early twentieth century South African art, Tietze offers a focused reflection on the work of Wolf Kibel. The lecture explores the psychological and spiritual dimensions that shaped his visual language, considering his practice not only in formal terms, but as an expression of inner life.
The talk is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Wolf Kibel, Lippy Lipshitz, Palm Studios, currently on view at the South African Jewish Museum.
Guests are invited to visit the exhibition following the lecture.
