Gluck’s retelling of this timeless Greek myth encompasses the heights and depths of human experience as the musician Orpheus attempts to bring his beloved wife, Eurydice, back from the dead. This beautiful opera has captivated audiences in Cape Town and across the world for many years. Featuring mezzo-soprano Rosa van der Dussen as Orpheus, the opera will be sung in Italian with captions projected in English and isiXhosa.
