Vergelegen Wine Estate has won many awards for its wine, but that’s not the only attraction here. The gardens of this venerable estate are of special interest: the five camphor trees in front of the homestead were planted by the original owner, Willem Adriaan van der Stel, at the beginning of the eighteenth century.
