The museum provides a fascinating educational journey into the geological wonders of South Africa, renowned as the land of Gold, Platinum and Diamonds. Explore how our diamonds, gold and platinum fields formed billions of years ago, and the incredible journey these minerals undertook to be discovered, mined, refined and worked to finally be cherished and admired around the world. The largest diamond ever found, The Cullinan, and other large and rare diamonds take centre stage in showcasing the best of the sparkling jewellery industry.

It further offers opportunities for cultural immersion showing South Africa’s diverse heritage in traditional jewellery-making traditions, where visitors gain insights into the cultural significance of cultural jewels and their role in storytelling.
