  • The Book Lounge

The Book Lounge is an independent bookshop in the Eastern Precinct of Cape Town City Centre. We opened in December 2007 and have had the most wonderful response. Talk to our experienced and passionate staff about the book you are looking for or feel free to grill us on what we’ve been reading recently. We pride ourselves on the many interesting book related events that we host – check out our events page for details of what’s coming up. Or just come and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while relaxing in the Lounge area and perusing our eclectic selection of books. Bring your children to the best kids section in town and if you know of a 3 to 8 year old who likes a good story, every Saturday morning at 11.00 is story time at the Book Lounge. We have a wide and unusual range of books, and if you’re looking for something we don’t have in the shop, we will do our utmost to get it for you. Enjoy the site and please drop us a mail if you have questions, queries about books or comments to share.

  • Truth Coffee HQ

“Flavour not bitterness. No sugar required” Truth Coffee specialises in producing Artisanal style coffees for the coffee geeks out there in Sunny South Africa. Come into our Roastery or Depot, buy online or get us to supply your Hotel, restaurant or business with a full consultation and find a solution to your quality coffee paradigm. We roast on a vintage probat with modern electronics. Why? The vintage roaster drum is cast iron, this changed in the sixties to mild steel. The cast iron seems to make coffee taste better. Maybe it is just easier to roast on, and that is why, although some say it is because the cast iron gives off radiant and convective heat. Why the electronics? so we can see what the hell we are doing!

  • Sound and Motion Studios

The first and currently largest studio in the network, Sound and Motion Studios Cape Town is a vibrant 3 floor facility in the Fringe. Opened in 2002, the studio quickly expanded from it’s original edit suite and vocal booth configuration as demand for our services increased. Over the coming years we added a dedicated mastering suite and “green room,” a live room and most recently a surround cinema-configured digital mix studio. For those needing to unwind we also have a client bar serving coffee and cocktails, a Foosball table, a Nintendo Wii and a selection of TV series and movies in our client lounge. The whole building is also a Wi-Fi hotspot.
