    See the work of local artists and crafters or relax over a good meal in tranquil surroundings at Montebello. It’s a non-profit organisation dedicated to job creation and good local design.   • Rust-en-Vrede Gallery & Clay Museum

    This historic building (declared as a national monument in 1984) houses an Art Gallery, Eatery, various art studios and a Clay Museum. The well-established gallery exhibits contemporary ceramics and artworks, and hosts frequent art-related events, classes and tours.

  • Sanlam Art Gallery

    From 2018 Sanlam celebrates its 100th anniversary and more than fifty years of collecting and showing South African art. With works dating from the late nineteenth century to the present, the Sanlam Art Collection constitutes an historically representative sample of South African paintings,sculptures and prints. Building on its strengths Sanlam continues to acquire works of historical significance as well as important images by emerging contemporary artists. A selection of these works is regularly exhibited in the Sanlam Art Gallery in the Sanlam Head Office in Bellville, which is open free to the public. Travelling themed exhibitions from the collection to various centres and arts festivals in South Africa are organised on a regular basis.

  • Christopher Møller Art

    The Christopher Moller Gallery deals in contemporary art, specializing in art from the African continent.

  • Streetwires

    Working artists’ studio with over 20 wire and bead artists, creating some of the most beautiful craft available in South Africa. Visit the shop and studio and speak to the artists while viewing their work.

  • The Cape Gallery

    The Cape Gallery seeks to expose fine art that is rooted in the South African tradition, work which carries the unique cultural stamp of our continent. Rotating exhibitions add to the diverse and often eclectic mix of work on show.
