Riebeek Valley Olive Festival 3-5 May

“Considered one of the better country life food festivals in the Western Cape, the Riebeek Valley Olive Festival revolves around the olive — the oil, the fruit and tapenades. There is plenty to go with olives — cheese and wine, homemade pickles, preserves, jams and breads. It’s also a good excuse to do the valley’s easily manageable wine route. A weekend pass includes free access and wine tastings to eight participating establishments,” reports the Mail & Guardian

You can visit 8 different venues including: Mont Abora, Kloovenburg, The Olive Boutique, Riebeek Cellars, Het Vlok Kasteel, Pulpit Rock, Allesverloren and the Olive Emporium situated on the Square in Riebeek Kasteel for a weekend of Olive and Wine tasting.  A weekend pass allows you entrance to all 8 venues as well as a complimentary wine tasting glass, free entertainment, wine and olive tastings at each venue as well as a Free shuttle service.
