TWO Upcoming Events this Weekend

Zeitz MOCAA presents The Pan-African Film Caravan, screening One Take Grace on Friday 24 July, and Re-looking: Exhibition Design in Practice Presented by Julia Kabat & Arafa C. Hamadi on Saturday 25 July.

Zeitz MOCAA presents The Pan-African Film Caravan, screening One Take Grace by Lindiwe Matshikiza & Mothiba Grace Bapela. This series of African films takes place on the last Friday of each at 6 pm–8 pm at The Labia Theatre . This film is a a collaboration between artist, Lindiwe Matshikiza (39), and actor and community leader, Mothiba Grace Bapela (58) which began with the two women meeting as actors on a local film set in 2010.The film is followed with a Q& A session with  the audience. Re-looking: Exhibition Design in Practice is presented by Julia Kabat & Arafa C. Hamadi and takes place on Saturday, 25 July 2026 at 10:30 am

This series of specialised tours offers visitors an opportunity to look again at the exhibition through the lens of exhibition design. Led by the Exhibition Manager, Julia Kabat, this session will explore how curatorial concepts are translated into physical form through layout, materials, lighting, colour, and display strategies. In this second talk of the series, Kabat will be joined by Exhibitions Research Assistant, Arafa C. Hamadi, who will co-host the session with a special focus on Zohra Opoku’s exhibition, We Proceed in the Footsteps of the Sunlight. Entry Free to Zeitz MOCAA Members.
