This little gem of a monthly market, is nestled between the tranquil trees alongside the St Andrews Church in Glen Road. It offers close by parking in Glen Road and is easily accessible for all.

This much talked about market offers you an enjoyable slow stroll, while seeking out those beautiful hand crafted items and delicious home bakes made by the locals in the area.
While at the market, I would also recommend that you also explore the Glencairn Wetlands, a small nature reserve adjoining the market. The reserve protects the Cape wetland of the lower Else River, and is home to an abundance of indigenous plant and animal life.

Weekend Fun Glencairn

Sunday is a day to let the kids run wild in a special dedicated kids play park. Face Painting , Sand –Art and balloon making. From 12h00 – 16h00.
There is a cover charge of R20 per activity or R50 for all 3. While kids are playing you can enjoy with “The Milk Boys” playing popular cover and some of their own songs from 1

Ruth2 Live at the Meeting Place. Simonstown
This is event not to be missed, over the last two months it has become very popular and is normally booked out. (See lead photo) We would recommend that you grab a table as soon as possible or try your luck and see if you get seat on the day.

Enjoy an early evening light meal while been entertained by a duo of local musicians. As the venue is not licensed, I recommend that you bring your own wine. (NO corkage fee is charged).  Specials on the menu for the event – Seafood platter for two people at R150, and 20% discount on burgers.

Ruth 2 is made up of Linda Joubert and Jenie Knott-Craig, both accomplished musicians in their own right. They play a mix of beautiful feel good music from all decades, from jazz to ballads and pop. They add their own flavour to songs while keeping the integrity of them and their music transports people away from the tough times we currently face. There is a small coverage of R20-00
