Debbie explains what’s to be found at these well known antique repositories in Hout Bay. It’s quite a quagmire of antiques and history and passion. The Shipwreck Shoppe at Mariner’s Wharf is basically a tourist destination with the added attraction of the Wharfside Grill restaurant. The Shoppe stocks items from the Cunard Liners for example, The intent has always been to focus on Hout Bay as a fishing village and part of Mariner’s Wharf is an area called Fisherman’s World, which encapsulates the passion for antiques that come from vessels – silver teaspoons, glasses all old world and with histories. So, whenever you go in you will find something new.- a new discovery!
