Feast From Nature, Renata Coetzee
Truida Prekel introduces us to A Feast from Nature by renowned food author and chef Renata Coetzee

If you are fascinated by food then you don’t want to miss this month’s Woman Zone Book Club guest.
Truida Prekel introduces us to A Feast from Nature the last publication from renowned food author and chef Renata Coetzee.

Based on research over 15 years, the book was written to preserve the culinary heritage of the earliest humans on earth and the first peoples of southern Africa, and their descendants.

Through her lifetime of research and the books she wrote, Renata built local and international awareness of, and respect for, the culinary heritage of the various cultural groups in South Africa. Through her writings, TV programmes and teachings, she had, over many decades, empowered thousands of women and scores of men, with knowledge of the finer skills of entertaining guests and tourists with nutritional, authentic cultural cuisine.

Woman Zone Book Club

The Woman Zone Book Club is a lively afternoon of discussion, debate and discovery, sharing books from the shelves of the Woman’s Library and welcoming local guest authors. Everyone is welcome at any meeting.

How it works: “We review the books borrowed last month and, over a cup of tea or coffee, we chat about great reads and meet our guest author. Even if you haven’t been before you can tell us what’s on your bedside table.
Then we browse the shelves of the Woman’s Library and choose an enticing title to borrow for the next month.”
