The gala opening of Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the new supper club, Gate69, was a glittering even!
Gate69 is the home of the glamorous Cathy Specific! And the venue is as outrageously glam as South Africa’s First Lady of Flying.
Think plush red velvet, mirrors, glitz and gilt. And that’s only for starters.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch is staged with much pizzaz and an underlying poignancy. Both Paul du Toit and Genna Galloway dazzle in their roles. Raunchy, sexy, outrageous and yet touching.
You’ll be royally greeted by the South Africa’s First Lady of Flying, Cathy Specific, and her glam crew of hosts and hostesses. The only thing missing are seat belts, but then you are in for a ride where you won’t need restraints! This plushy new cabaret theatre is a welcome addition to Cape Town’s theatre and entertainment scene.
