Art: If these walls could talk

by | Jun 2, 2013 | News | 0 comments

Known in street-art circles for his activist interventions, Grant Jurius is the man behind many of the hard-hitting images seen on walls around Cape Town.

“Where the media fails us, the walls help,” he says. “People often say ‘If these walls could talk’. Well, they do.” For his first exhibition in a gallery space, Jurius brings the same sense of energy to a very different set of walls. Playfully titled Nothing New, it offers a vibrant running commentary on the truth behind Cape Town’s gleaming facade.
