In an art exhibition titled A Vacant Passage, at Salon 91, Paul Senyol and Andrzej Urbanski explore travel in the global world through abstract artworks that engage memories and legacies.
For his part in the combined show, Urbanski engages time and its complex philosophical relationship with space through multilayered abstract paintings. By contrast, Senyol’s pop-infused, painted fairytales dare the extraordinary to become a part of the everyday. His works navigate flexible and shifting terrains long gone, but never forgotten. The result is a playful exhibition that balances pop panache with artistic intentions.
