This Sunday, the Afro-fusion South African band Freshlyground will perform as part of Kirstenbosch’s Summer Sunset Concert Series.

Hailing from the States, I was oblivious to Freshlyground’s existence. My loss. Since discovering the band three weeks ago, I can’t stop listening to their playful sounds and insightful lyrics.
Enliven your Sunday and check ‘em out. I will definitely be there!
Below is the event’s press release.

Freshlyground perform at The Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts at Kirstenbosch

Hugely popular group Freshlyground will be the star act at the Old Mutual Summer Sunset concert at Kirstenbosch on Sunday February 16.
Guaranteed to be a sell-out Freshlyground have managed to navigate a successful 10 years in the South African music industry and have graced stages all over the world. Their ascension was rapid – they became a household name in South Africa in 2004 with the release of the smash-hit album Nomvula, and every album released since has generated at least one radio hit: Doo Be Doo, I’d Like, Pot Belly, Fire is Low & 2010’s world-wide hit with Shakira, Waka Waka.
In October 2012 Freshlyground released their 5th studio album: Take Me To The Dance.
