Hand thrown by Heart 2014 @ Art in the Forest is an exhibition in support of Light From Africa Foundation.
This exhibition will showcase the art of hand thrown ceramics by national potters. Participating artists include Christo Giles, Anthony Shapiro, Clementina van der Walt, Emmanuel Ncube, Nic Sithole, Peter Jaff, Tracey Duivestein, David Walters, Sarah Walters, Lauren Kaplan, Chuma Maweni and more.
Art in the Forest is open to the public and located one kilometres drive along the dirt road into Cecilia Forest, Constantia Nek (at the circle from Rhodes Drive). Opening times are from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4:30pm and Saturdays 10am-3pm. Whilst there, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee and peruse the functioning ceramic studio, find our about the foundations work with vulnerable kids or simply enjoy the breathtaking views of the Constantia valley below.
