Barnard Gallery will be hosting Lost in Reverie, a solo exhibition of paintings by Cape Town based artist Alexia Vogel, her first with the gallery.
The exhibition will include large new works on canvas alongside paper works of a more intimate scale.
Following her distinguished graduate show entitled Familial Distance (Michaelis Galleries, Cape Town, 2013), selected group exhibitions to date have included Surface: Emerging Painters (Barnard Gallery, Cape Town, 2015); /SCAPE (Salon91, Cape Town, 2014); PAINT MATTERS (Barnard Gallery, Cape Town, 2014) and Greatest Hits 2013 (Association of Visual Arts, Cape Town).
The artist’s work was represented by Barnard Gallery at both the Cape Town and Joburg Art Fairs in 2014 and her paintings can be found in a number of private collections as well as in the University of Cape Town (UCT) Collection.
