♦ Archive images of the late Neville Dubow will be on display in the exhibition The Thinking Eye. Dubow, who was a photographer, died in August 2008 and this exhibition is a tribute to his life and work, spanning the years 1971 to 2001. The Thinking Eye features his photographs, drawings and memorabilia from manuscripts and archives at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the Iziko South African National Gallery collection.

♦ World-renowned South African-born musician Jonathan Butler is sharing the stage with friends – United States soul singer Oleta Adams and saxophonist Euge Groove – at the Winter Jazz Festival. Butler is a Grammy nominee who is known for his contemporary jazz, soul and gospel sound. Local songstress Lira is the opening act.
