CCDI Creative Exchange – Kaffe Fassett & Brandon Mably

International design icons, Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably, will be the guests at an extraordinary CCDI Creative Exchange on 15 July, 2015.

This will be part of KAFFE FASSETT & BRANDON MABLY: ‘GLORIOUS COLOUR’ TOUR OF SOUTH AFRICA

Kaffe and Brandon are both world famous for their adventurous and exotic application of colour in textiles – knitting, quilting, needle-point, textile murals, mosaics, and rug designs. This passion has taken them to the far corners of the world, to track unusual colour origins and combinations, and to share with an enthusiastic audience how to develop their ‘mind’s eye’ and see and apply colour in daring and courageous ways.

Kaffe is the only textile artist to have presented a one-artist-show at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (doubling its attendance figures), which has also travelled to Finland, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Canada, USA and Iceland.

Kaffe’s one-of-a-kind designs have been collected by many famous names such as Barbra Streisand, Lauren Bacall, John Schlesinger, Ali McGraw, Irene Worth, Shirley Maclaine, and H.R.H. Princess Michael of Kent. He has presented and been interviewed on numerous television and radio shows, and has produced over 15 books illustrating his approach and technique.

The Kaffe Fassett lecture is designed to inspire and motivate. The presentation, highlighting works from his latest projects, lasts an hour followed by a Q&A session, book sales, and a book-signing.
