Raise your glasses and say cheers to 2018 at Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts with Jeremy Loops and Crimson House on New Year’s Eve. Fans can start jotting down their New Year’s resolutions because the night promises to be magical.
Musician and co-founder of Greenpop a tree-planting organisation, Jeremy Loops, will usher in the new year with his modern folk hits. Loops entered into the music scene in 2011 with the release of his self-titled debut EP. He has since released two albums, ‘Trading Change’ in 2014 and ‘Critical as Water’ in 2018 which has been led by the hit single Waves and a world tour across four continents.
Loops’ special message
Loops’ has a special message to fans as they prepare to tackle the new year:
“My New Years message to anyone in our community would be to invest in themselves and their dreams and their hopes. To have the courage to face their fears. And to, above all else, care for those you are close to. You can have it all, but if you don’t have family and friends be a part of your journey, you have nothing.”
Crimson House will be opening the evening with their much loved high energy live performance and heady mix of Gypsy, Swing, Rock n Roll with Blues undertones. The band’s electrifying performances are made possible by the following members: Riaan Smit (vocal/guitar/ harmonica), Tim Welsh (alto sax), Gareth Harvey (baritone sax), Arno Van Zyl (banjo), Christoph de Chavonnes Vrugt (drums) and André “Skywalker” van der Merwe (bass). They formed in 2010 and have since released 3 albums, with a collection of chart bangers including their latest hit singles ‘Take a Chance’, ‘Don’t Forget to Take Your Medicine’, ‘Joes Bounce’ and ‘Pot of Gold’ of their upcoming 4th album.
