NEXUS a solo exhibition by Corné Eksteen at StateoftheART

by | Feb 28, 2019 | News | 0 comments

Artist, Corné Eksteen, captures the NEXUS of his sitter in an exhibition of multiple portraits at StateoftheART Gallery, which opens on 07 March 2019.

In contemporary culture the term ‘nexus’ is often used to indicate links or associations between groups, objects or abstract concepts. Eksteen examines this link in his double and multiple portraits of sitters who occupy a singular space: each rendered in a minimal palette of blue, black and brown.

Collectively these works explore links between the sitter, the artist and finally the viewer in search of the nexus of their combined experience.
