Daor Contemporary presents Psithurism

Psithurism (a word to describe the sound of wind in the trees and rustling leaves) is Daor Contemporary’s sixth exhibition for 2019.

“No better way is there to learn to love nature than to understand art. It dignifies every flower of the field. And, the boy who sees the thing of beauty which a bird on the wing becomes when transferred to wood or canvas will probably not throw the customary stone” – Oscar Wilde

This group show,  Psithurism, features thirteen artists working across a variety of disciplines. It is a celebration of the natural world and seeks to explore the beauty of it, without overriding the artists personal context.

In an age where so much of life is spent indoors, surrounded by concrete, glass, steel and digital devices, seldom is time spent in nature. Daor will be bringing outside, inside. Providing an opportunity to appreciate nature and it’s many wonderous facets, highlighting that which needs to be protected and enjoyed.

Daor Contemporary invites you to join them on the evening of the 14th November for the opening of Psithurism, with a live music performance by acclaimed solo musician Reinhardt Buhr.
