Tea in the Park has a few impressive changes coming in the next year. Since its inception three years ago, the environmentally conscious café has seen remarkable growth. Tea in the Park has recently tendered to run the café for another 5 to 8 years.
Located in the lush and secure Green Point Urban Park in Cape Town, the café offers the perfect escape during the coming festive season away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded city.
Here, families (including their four-legged friends) can spend quality time under the outdoor terrace while feasting on fresh breakfast and delicious lunch options. Parents can unwind and sip on a cup of tea or coffee while their children explore the many activities that the park has to offer. The Tot-Lot Play Park, Outdoor Labyrinth and Biodiversity Garden are all great ways to keep the children entertained.
Tea in the Park Plans for 2020
In the coming year, the café will be undergoing renovations and introducing a new shareholder initiative. Customers and employees will both benefit from these upcoming changes.
Customers can look forward to a bigger space, which can cater for events such as baby showers, kitchen teas and children’s parties. A proposal has been put in for the installation of a bigger kitchen that will allow the café to extend the menu options.
In pursuit of empowering employees, Tea in the Park will be giving staff and managers shares in the growing business. Along with this, the employees will also receive special entrepreneurial skills training. The staff continue to play an integral role in the development of the business and will continue to add important value during and after the renovations are complete.
There are many reasons to enjoy an outing to Tea in the Park and Tuesdays have just become another one! On Tuesdays, the café offers complimentary tea with any meal or cake order.
