Tuesday Travel Tip to Stay Home but Stay Connected

Taking Stay Home but Stay Connected seriously, Zeitz MOCAA is offering you Head to Head and a virtual tour to be able to stay in touch.  So you can follow our Tuesday Travel Tip to Stay Home but Stay Connected – travel virtually with MapMayway.

“South Africa has once again gone into lockdown Level 4 and, to ensure the health and safety of our staff and patrons and in keeping with the government regulations, Zeitz MOCAA will be closed until Sunday, 11 July.”

That’s no excuse not to enjoy your favourite exhibitions with Zeitz MOCAA’s stellar line-up of online programming.

Head to Head

Stay Home but Stay Connected This month, Zeitz MOCAA brings you two Head to Head discussions on Instagram Live.  Stay Home but Stay Connected

On Tuesday, 6 July, Senior Curator Storm Janse van Rensburg will be in conversation with Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath to talk about how exhibitions can be made into a process of historisation – from the recording of events and experiences that fall outside the ambit of social sciences.

Then, on Tuesday, 20 July, our Executive Director and Chief Curator Koyo Kouoh will engage Teesa Bahana, director of the 32° East Ugandan Arts Trust, a non-profit that promotes the creation and exploration of contemporary art in Uganda.

Bahana will provide insight into raising funds to build the first purpose-built art centre in Uganda, the intersection between art and society in that country and how artistic environments should be protected and nurtured.
