Contemporary African Visual Art

African Galleries Now 2022 brings together a network of 10 Pan-African galleries showcasing contemporary African art from the continent live on Artsy from today until April 17th. And Ebony/Curated are delighted to be participating in African Galleries Now 2022 organised by African Art Galleries Association (AAGA .

The 40 participating artists represented by the 10 galleries hail from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, Angola, Namibia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Nigeria, Botswana, Mali and Cameroon.

As international interest in African contemporary art continues to grow, the AAGA brings together a broad community of arts professionals championing the growth and sustainability of contemporary African visual art on the continent and supports its future leaders.

By building an African arts infrastructure and advancing the professional development of artists, curators, critics, art dealers and collectors, the Pan-African AAGA initiative supports contemporary art sectors and infrastructure on all parts of the continent.
