Free entry - celebrating museums and Africanicity

Celebrating Africanicity and International Museum Day, Zeitz MOCAA is offering you FREE entry on 18 May 2022 – plus affordable limited art editions.

This May, celebrate both International Museum Day and Africa Day with free entry, coffee and more, and start your own art collection by purchasing one of Zeitz MOCAA’s limited edition prints.

With International Museum Day and Africa Day taking place on 18 May and 25 May, respectively, Zeitz MOCAA will be extending free entry on these days from 10 am to 2 pm. The first 100 visitors to Ocular Lounge on level 6 will also receive a free cup of coffee.

To top it off, their  amazing Centre for Art Education (CFAE) team will lead exciting activities for kids and adults alike beneath the track shed at the entrance to the museum

Affordable Art

Zeitz MOCAA’s exclusive prints by well-known African artists reflect the breadth and depth of art from Africa and its diaspora – and is a fitting gift as we near Africa Day on 25 May

“Your safety remains our priority

“While we remain open to the public throughout the current COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve put some additional processes in place to ensure your health and safety. On arrival, you will be asked to sanitise regularly at the sanitisation stations throughout the museum.

Our audio guides are now also available on Soundcloud so you won’t need to share a device with anyone else, and we’ve also made it easier to pay for admission and other purchases with contactless payment options.

Don’t forget: We have a strict ‘No mask, no entry’ policy”
