Cape Town City Ballet presents Veronic Paeper’s ‘Carmen’ – dramatic interpretation of a love triangle between the sultry Carmen, the dashing toreador Escamilo and the naïve soldier, Don Jose.
Performances on 14, 17 and 25 June will be live with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. All other performances will be with recordings of the CPO.

Meet incredible guest artist, Jonathan Leyva, who will be partnering Kirstél Paterson as part of the Carmen cast.
Hailing from Cuba, Jonathan comes from a family of dancers and has trained at the renowned Cuban School of Ballet. As a First Soloist in the Camagüey Ballet Company, he has performed in iconic ballets like Carmen, Romeo and Juliet, and Don Quixote, showcasing his virtuosity and artistry.
