CTMA 's multidimensional music production

Classical Calabash, the Cape Town Music Academy – CTMA ‘s multidimensional music production, will presented for only one night at Woordfees on 15 October at Adam Small Auditorium, Stellenbosch Central from 19:30.

Featuring some of the great music stars, the show is directed by Vasti Zeeman-Knoesen and music arrangements by Graeme Lees.
Some of South Africa’s great musicians featured include Xhanti Nokwali, Tankiso Mamabolo, Sky Dladla and Zeeman-Knoesen on vocals and instrumentalists Bongani Sotshononda on chromatic marimba, bassist Stephen de Souza and guitarist Graeme Lees amongst others

Classical Calabash showcase the work of some of South Africa’s greats and introduces you to work of some of the rising stars on the local scene. It combines indigenous African instruments with classical music concepts and paints a soundscape with brushstrokes made by the marimba, mbira, violin, voice and more.
