Cape Town is Africa’s best food city Â
South Africa is the best culinary destination on the continent, and Cape Town is its pride and joy with its tantalising range of gastronomic offerings from across the globe. It was named “Africa’s best culinary city destination” for the second time at the World Culinary Awards – a global initiative that recognises and rewards excellence in the international culinary industry.
The results follow a year-long search for the world’s leading culinary brands. Travel industry professionals and the public cast votes, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named the winner.
Rina van Staden, director of the World Culinary Awards, said: “Our winners are the visionaries whose creativity and craftsmanship bring joy to millions daily. Their hard work, commitment, and unwavering passion for the culinary arts inspire us all.”
