You are invited to the 15th annual Desmond Tutu International Peace Lecture, taking place on 20 November 2025 at the CTICC, Cape Town. Please save the date — further information and links to secure complimentary tickets will be shared shortly.
The Peace Lecture is the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation’s flagship convening, bringing together global leaders, thinkers and emerging changemakers to advance urgent conversations about peace, justice and healing. Since the inaugural Lecture in 2011 they have welcomed voices such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kofi Annan, Melinda French Gates and Mary Robinson. Each year the Lecture seeks to translate moral leadership into measurable civic impact and to inspire a new generation of leaders.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his tireless leadership in the non-violent struggle against apartheid and for his work advancing human rights and dignity. His moral courage and commitment to justice helped to focus global attention on South Africa’s struggle and to galvanise international pressure for change.
.”We look forward to welcoming you to this important civic moment.” Solange Nolan, Head of Advancement.
