Aga Khan Award for Architecture @ District 6 Museum

The latest AGA KHAN AWARDS FOR ARCHITECTURE will have it’s Cape Town hosting at the District Six Museum from 14 to 25 October 2014.

First displayed at the INTERNATIONAL UNION OF ARCHITECTS (UIA) CONVENTION in Durban in August this year, the exhibition is curated by Durban –based Architect, Yusuf Patel.

AgaKhanAward-logoThe AGA KHAN AWARD FOR ARCHITECTURE is given every three years to projects that set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation & landscape architecture. The Exhibition features Award recipients & shortlisted projects for 2011 to 2013 cycle.

The Exhibition sponsors are ACG ARCHITECTS & DEVELOPMENT PLANNERS & forms part of their celebrating 21 years of practice. ACG Principal, Hassan Asmal, who was also President of UIA Organizing Committee, notes that the hosting of the Exhibition is ACG’s contribution to broadening the discourse around architectural & planning excellence amongst the design fraternity & the public of Cape Town.
