Along the Way is a group exhibition at The Cape Gallery that opens on Sunday, 26th April 2015 at 4:30 p.m.

As the title suggests ‘Along the Way’ presents a selection of work produced along the artistic journeys of several artists. The exhibition reflects much more than literal representations of a physical landscape. Instead, the works can be viewed as resting points along a pilgrimage exploring the evolution of thought and insight. These points are sanctuaries of quiet observation. Often, the resulting imagery quite literally paints a portrait of society, be it ironic, critical or enlightening.

The exhibiting artists have developed personal visions of the world. Sequential presentation of events gives way to a journey of moral or spiritual significance anchored in universal themes. Visual thoughts both real and surreal converge to a singular point of awakening.

Participating artists include: Leon de Bliquy, Hardy Botha, Norman Dunn, Patrick Holo, Simon Jones, Xolile Mtakatya, Joe Osser, Richard Pike, Alexander Podlashuc, Max Wolpe, Judy Woodborne
