Gin Tasting with 9 Orphans Distillery (18yrs+) | R30
Join this sibling-run distillery as they share more about how an ‘outrageous dream’ became a hobby-turned-passion that salutes their father. Look forward to a tasting of three gins, from their exquisite Bougainvillea Gin crafted with botanicals, and the fusion of aromas found in Eikesap that honours Stellenbosch, to the Turksvy Gin that tells the story of the peculiar prickly pear: your senses are in for a treat! Look forward to cosy #GallerySessions in Gallery 2, as we are joined by powerhouse performer Dani Villé of Cape Town. With her acoustic guitar in hand, Dani delivers heartfelt renditions of both original compositions and beloved covers. She has graced the stage of various events and festivals. In 2023, her musical journey took her to Berlin, Germany for three months, where she was inspired by and immersed in the vibrant music scene. Her dedication to her craft extends beyond performance, as she holds a diploma in Music Business from the Campus of Performing Arts in Cape Town.

Attention, young creatives: join us for an exciting museum adventure designed just for you. Throughout Museum Saturday, we invite children aged 5 -10 years to explore the museum’s exhibitions through our Kids Creative Corners.
By completing the various activities, you will be entered into the lucky draw for an art-inspired hamper, with activities to do at home.
As always the August Museum Saturday is a wonderful day for the family to enjoy the Rupert Museum and its current range of exhibitions.
