As new 110% Green Flagship Project, Cape Town Green Map received their signed flag from the Premier Helen Zille.
As a new 110% Green Flagship Project, Cape Town Green Map was invited to Leeuwenhof Estate to receive their signed flag from the Premier Helen Zille. The event was held to welcome the new Flagships which have joined 110% Green in the period after the second annual 110% Green event in June 2013.
Arne Purves, of the City’s Environmental Resource Management Department and the City of Cape Town’s Green Map Project Manager, received the 110% Green Flag from the Premier.
Cape Town Green Map’s commitment reads:
Promote ‘green’ as an informed lifestyle choice. The wider the reach of our website and social media interaction, the more successful we will be in communicating this message. The Cape Town Green Map undertakes to:
1. Increase its free listings by 20% on OpenGreenMap.org
2. Reach 5000 unique pageviews per month.
3. Reach 4000 followers on its Twitter social media page.
4. Distribute 60000 copies of the “Green By Design” 5th Edition Cape Town Green Map
5. Establish a South Africa Green Map network with at least three other City’s/areas.
