With the whole world singing and dancing Jerusalema, plans to produce a very special rendition of the piece as part of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual community gala concerts took on a sense of urgency.
The concert, recorded at Artscape Opera House in mid-October, features the Jazzart Dance Theatre in steps that not only capture the Jerusalema dance steps but add fresh choreography by Nkosinathi Sangweni . The original sound track by Master KG and performed by Nomcebo was enhanced for symphonic instruments by composer Mike Campbell. The result will really get you tapping your feet!
