Celebrate Heritage Day! Join Zeitz MOCAA this Heritage Day, Wednesday, 24 September 2025, and celebrate South Africa’s rich cultural heritage with free entry from 10 am to 6 pm.
The museum will be alive with art, culture, food, and performances for all ages. Come and enjoy a day to explore, create, and connect with community at the largest museum dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora.
Highlights of Celebrate Heritage Day:
• Multilingual architecture tours in Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa, isiZulu, SiSwati, and Tshivenda, exploring the 101-year history of the Grain Silo.
• Guided exhibition tours, offering unique insights into the museum’s collection and current shows.
• Hands-on art workshops for all ages, including tote bag design for teens and adults, and colourful windsock kite-making for children.
• Outdoor food court with local flavours to enjoy.
• Atrium and Rooftop Terrace transform into vibrant social hubs.
