From the creators of Popville comes an extraordinary new pop-up book In the Forest by Anouck Boisrobert and Louis Rigaud, which explores the world of our disappearing rainforests.

In a lush green forest, a sloth sleeps. Can you see him?
CLANG! Machines come to tear down the trees, but the sloth still sleeps … will he wake up?

Turn the pages of this ingenious and stylish pop-up book, which tells the story of one lazy sloth who hangs on in there as the forest is destroyed and then reborn.

Although this is a children’s book it deals with the critical themes of deforestation and destruction of natural environments.

Anouck Boisrobert is an illustrator and graphic designer, and Louis Rigaud works across multimedia as well as illustration. Sopihe Strady is an author and book publisher.

In the Forest is available at David Krut Projects as part of their current exhibition The Benediction of Shade.
