The City of Cape Town’s Library will once again offer various activities at selected libraries during the April school holidays.

The majority of the programmes will focus on Easter activities and include crafts, storytelling and egg hunts. The activities will also include games, reading programmes, DVD shows, face-painting, art workshops, debating sessions, rock painting, reading clubs and informative talks.

Some special programmes this year include a visit from the Iziko Mobile Bus at Crossroads Library, a music theory session at Bonteheuwel Library and an Easter Treasure Hunt at Bridgetown Library.

Public libraries will be presenting these programmes in collaboration with the Iziko Museum, Molo Songololo, Blue Ribbon, Wally 107, the Sport, Recreation and Amenities Department and the Water and Sanitation Department, amongst others.

Residents are encouraged to visit their public libraries in their communities for further details.

Libraries can be contacted directly for more details about their programmes. Details of the holiday programmes can also be found on the libraries’ website
