Come play at the New Church Museum

‘Here at the New Church Museum, we like to play,’ reads the invitation.

In the imaginative spirit of Walter Battiss’ Fook Island and its accompanying Fook Book, New Church is inviting people of all ages to join them in conceptualizing your own mythical nation in a visual book of your own.

Bring: Magazines, paper, scissors, glue, pastels and colour pencils, bits of coloured paper, glitter, and anything else you think will best represent your proud nation and its people (just no paint).

You’ll be camping out on the floor, so if you’d like to bring any blankets or cushions to make yourself comfortable then you’re welcome to do so.

And take the time to walk around It Begins with Batiss – the current show.  See Lucinda Jolly’s review
