Pieter-Dirk Uys’s latest revue, An Audience with Pieter-Dirk EISH!, takes a novel approach.
On stage are numbered boxes and in each is a secret, a character and a sketch. The audience gets to pick. With 15 boxes and time to perform only half of them, every night is a different show. It could be Evita Bezuidenhout or Nowell Fine, maybe Malema, some Zumas, one of two Mandelas, or a South African you have not met before. Celebrate your freedom of expression on the road to Mangaung, laughing at sacred cows.
