Dance for All presents Concerto la Danza – a plot capturing the collaboration of dance with live music, directed by Allison Hendricks and performed by some of Cape Town’s finest young musicians, from the Cape Music Institute(CMI) with musical direction by Camillo Lombard.
With live music presenting very little artifice, the audience becomes one with these two capturing art forms.
The production will display, how these two captivating art forms collaborate through bringing together two institutions. For both, the primary focus is on creating platforms and opportunities for youngsters, in a joint venture.
The plot of Concerto la Danza taps into the lives of three characters: that which they hide behind, the masks which they show the world and a life which they once had, or long for.
