The Mail & Guardian round-up of this week’s hot-ticket events.
Cape Town
- Designers Malcolm Kluk and Christiaan Gabriël du Toit of Klûk CGDT have worked with Levi’s, nine photographers and videographer Roice Nel to create an exhibition they hope will last longer than a catwalk show. The fashion and film exhibition was inspired by their spring/summer collection, which they showed at the recent African Fashion International 2016 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The photographers were given garments from the collection and denim items from Levi’s for photographic prints and film. A Klûk CGDT “lookbook” shot by photographer Simon Deiner is also on display. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the sale of the art will be donated to the Sunflower Fund.
