♦  Youth dance groups hope to set the stage alight at the Azishe! festival, presented by the Jazzart Dance Theatre and directed by Sifiso E Kweyama. The Jazzart Dance Theatre was founded in 1973 and is acknowledged as one of South Africa’s leading and oldest contemporary dance theatre performing companies.

♦  TV presenter and comedian Tats Nkonzo is staging his one-man show, The Clever Black, which is produced by fellow funnyman Nik Rabinowitz. Nkonzo won first place at the Montreux International Comedy Festival in November 2014 and has hosted the TV talent show, SA’s Got Talent. The Clever Black addresses “unconventional solutions to nation-building, from service delivery to the spread of illnesses”. Nkonzo often incorporates song in his material and this show won’t be an exception.
