Curated by Animation SA, in partnership with Pop the Culture, the Kujanimation Film Festival presents some of the world’s top animated feature films, including the best of French animation. It is also running a series of workshops with leaders in the local industry and the comic and graphic novel fields, such as author Lauren Beukes, the director of Khumba, Anthony Silverston of Triggerfish Animation Studios, Rico Schacherl of Madam & Eve and Richard Morgan Grenville of Strika Entertainment, to help to develop South African talent.

The South African Baconfest celebrates the love of bacon in an event divided into afternoon and evening sittings. All dishes, prepared by 11 Kitchen venue in Woodstock, include two 500ml Boston Lager draughts. There is a full bar available.

The Mini Folk Festival is part of the V&A Summer Sessions presented by Mercedes-Benz. Performing acts include YouTube sensation Roxy, singer-songwriter Jono Grayson from Pietermaritzburg, the University of Cape Town graduate Jennifer Eaves, alternative hip-hop/folk artist Fruit Vendor, Mark Fransman and David Meulen and his band.
