Every Brilliant Thing, at the LAMTA Studio at Theatre at the Bay, explores the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. This heartwarming, comedic coming-of-age story celebrates the small but brilliant things that make life worth living.
In Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan, with Jonny Donahoe, a young boy grapples with the emotional challenges of his mother’s struggle with depression. To help her find hope, he begins compiling a list of everything brilliant in the world.
This one-man show is brought to life by the excitingly versatile Miguel de Sampaio and unfolds in a democratic, immersive “in the-round” setting. Audience members are invited to participate in the recitation of items on the list, creating a shared and deeply wholesome experience.
The play is a testament to the enduring human spirit and the remarkable ability to find joy and hope in unexpected places. Join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience that will leave you inspired, uplifted and maybe, just maybe…a little teary.
